Bus Transfer (included in the registration fee)
Round trip transfer with bus for the route Heraklion – FORTH – Heraklion on scheduled times on the 9th and 10th of May 2019. Please find below the schedule for the bus transfers from Heraklion to FORTH and back for the registered workshop participants.
The pick up point in Heraklion City is Dimokratias Avenue, in front of the Eleftherios Velizelos statue (click here for map).The bus will have the attached sign on the window so that you can locate it, as there will be other buses parked there as well. The pick up point from FORTH is in front on the main building. The departure times are fixed, so please be on time.
Bus Transfer Schedule
May 9th
- Departure at 08:15 am from Heraklion city to FORTH
- *Departure at 18:00 pm from FORTH to Lyrarakis Winery for the conference dinner. *The bus will make a stop at 17:10pm in Heraklion (pick up point, see the map) to pick up the accompanying persons, to meet the workshop participants at FORTH, and together to depart at 18:00pm to Lyrarakis winery. Upon the return the bus will make a stop at FORTH and then to Heraklion city (same spot as pick up point, see the map).
May 10th
- Departure at 08:15 am from Heraklion city to FORTH
- Departure at 18:30 pm from FORTH to Heraklion City (same spot as pick up)
Generic transportation options to FORTH
There are two main bus stops in the center. The first bus stop is right next to Astoria Capsis Hotel. There are also other suggested hotels that are quite close to the bus stops.
The route takes about 40 minutes by bus (heading ITE or PAGNI) and the ticket costs 1,70 € (blue ticket). Ticket vending machines are located next to most bus stations in the centre but you can also buy from most kiosks around the city. Please keep in mind that city traffic may affect departure and arrival times.
