Exclusive Tour and Dinner at the Lyrarakis Winery
- Arriving at the winery, guests will have the chance to enjoy the Cretan scenery with the vineyards. Starting from the winery’s open-air vine museum, guest will learn about the indigenous varieties of Crete, observe their differences, get informed about their cultivation practices, and how the Cretan terroir can affect their growing and their taste.
- Following, the tour will continue in the winery’s cellar where wine ages in oak barrels learning about the vinification process and the history of Lyrarakis wines.
- The guests will then get even further into Cretan wine by exploring the Cretan wealth of aromas and flavors in a wine-glass, by enjoying a private guided tasting of 6 different wines made with the forementioned varieties.
- The tour will finish with a meal so that guests can enjoy their wine experience to the fullest by pairing the wines with carefully selected food pairings of the Cretan cuisine.
